MBE and EDGE Certification Workshop

Are you a minority business seeking to secure government contracts? Join us as we walk you through the application process to become Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and the Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) Certifications. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A WORKING CLASS AND NOT A LECTURE. Business owners will be filling out the online application for the certifying agencies that they qualify for based on the business questionnaire to be completed during class. Businesses need to have been in business for at least 12 months to qualify for any of the certifications. In order to complete the application, please bring all applicable items: Passport or Birth Certificate Federal and State Taxes for the last 2 years for the business and personal. (Ohio IT 1040 or IT1040EZ, Schedule C, Schedule K-1, Schedule E, form 1065, form 1120, W-2's, 1099 forms which ever applies to your company) Certificate of Registration from state of original registration. Professional license or licenses (if applicable) Copy of signed contracts, purchase orders and invoices, and cancelled checks that demonstrate at leas 12 months of capability and experience in the industry for which certification is being sought. Bank signature card (i.e., copy of signature card or letter from bank identifying signers) List of equipement and vehicles owned, including titles or registrations. Facility lease or ownership documenttion (if private residence, warranty dee, or mortgage payment invoice) Resume Affidavit - this form will be provided in class. Articles of incorporation, Articles of organization or Partnership agreement which ever applies to your company Operating Agreement, Bylaws or Code of Regulation ( if applicable) Unit Certificates or Stock Certificates ( if applicable) Unit journal or current Stock Ledger ( if applicable ) Minutes of first and most recent board meeting Free but MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND
