The Ultimate Cheat Sheet For Business Leader Success

Thu 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Topic: Management/Leadership

Entreprenurs and small business owners are experts in building their businesses. However, when it comes to sharing vision with their team there may be a breakdown. This session will allow owners to understand how to improve their leadership skills to increase the effectivness of all members of the team. Successful businesses have world-class leaders. Are you intentional about and committed to developing your leadership potential? In this presentation, Vanguard Veteran will present three essential commitments owners must make to accelerate their leadership development and sustain business success. Presenter - LtCol (Ret) Kathy Lowrey Gallowitz is career Air Force Veteran who served as a Public Affairs Officer and Nurse. It was her life’s calling to design and lead a never-been-done before outreach office for the Ohio National Guard to educate and engage civilians in support of troops and their families. While not serving in uniform, Gallowitz established and managed Buckeye Sports and Orthopedic Specialists. She was the President of the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce and on the founding board of the Pickerington Violet Festival. Masters degrees in Nursing and Political Science frame her practice and perspectives. Through her for-profit social enterprise, Vanguard Veteran, she is leading the "Veteran Champion" movement to connect civilians with Veterans and their families in mutually-beneficial ways. She trains emerging civilian leaders and transitioning Veterans how to develop their leadership skills, initiates projects to narrow the military-civilian divide and broaden support to Veterans.
