In recent years, Active Shooter incidents have increased in both frequency and numbers of those injured and killed. Columbine, the Aurora movie theater, Sandy Hook, and the Orlando nightclub shootings are just a few examples of this terrifying trend. In 2017, the Las Vegas shootings became the worst in U.S. history, leaving 58 innocent people dead and nearly 500 wounded, and 2018 has already proven deadly. When these unthinkable acts occur, EVERY second counts, and EVERYONE must be prepared to react! Sponsored by the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University, this one day conference features national and local experts to discuss prevention and protection tools & techniques to keep your workplace and school safe. Business owners and school, hospital and government administrators are strongly encouraged to attend this important and timely conference.
