Wed 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Topic: Small Business Innovation Research

This class is designed to assist small business owners in finding key data for their business plan or to better understand their potential market. You will be introduced to a wealth of Census statistics about households and businesses that will help you understand who are your customers and competitors, and other valuable data about where you do business. The first part of the class will explain and give examples of the many different sources of economic data available. The second part will demonstrate the Census Business Builder (CBB) tool. The Census Business Builder tool provides selected demographic and economic data from the Census Bureau tailored to specific types of users in a simple to access and use format. The CBB presents the data in a map-based interface.
