CONTACT KARLA BOLDERY AT 513-549-7750 TO REGISTER The Latina Entrepreneur Academy, founded in 2017, has been designed to fill in the gaps in our current entrepreneurial ecosystem, by providing an infrastructure of support so that Latinas can start, run and grow their businesses more efficiently and effectively. Through this program, we hope to nurture the Latin(x) entrepreneurial spirit and provide support to driven Hispanics who seek to launch and/or expand business endeavors. The academy provides a series of informational sessions on various topics that will better prepare participants to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
Course Subjects: Business Concept & Feasibility to gain an understanding of the skills needed to become an entrepreneur and learn about a value proposition for a business concept, and to determine its feasibility in regards to their personal circumstances; Market Research & Competitor's Analysis to learn and explore how to perform market research and analyze the competition; Organization and Legal Requirements Checklist, Licensing & Insurance, participants will go over the Secretary of State Checklist, licensing, and insurance requirements as well as hiring employees; Start-up Costs & Record Keeping to determine how to calculate Start-up costs and how to keep track of projections and/or cash flow; Access to Capital to discover options to access capital for their new or existing business venture(s); Basic Financial Statements Understanding the Numbers to gain an understanding of the 3 Basic Financial Statements and their importance for their small business; Sales, Marketing & Networking to examine the Four P’s of Marketing and how to plan a good sales strategy on a limited budget; and Networking, Resources, and Putting All of It Together, to learn about the power of networking and soft skills, and how these will help them build their personal brand; The Business Plan, discussion of resources available for continuous support, minority certification, and the importance of building a Business Plan/Profile.

Founder and facilitator for the Latina Entrepreneur Academy in Cincinnati, delivering startup business training for over 100 latinas who have either started or want to start their own businesses and creating a support network of resources and connections that will enable this latinas a better chance of business success. She was named 2017 SBA Partner of the year for her distinguished leadership and efforts with the Hispanic business community, 2018 Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan by the Ohio Commission of Hispanic and Latino Affairs (OCHLA), and 2015 Cincinnati Business Courier Forty under 40.
