Small Business Resources : Marketing and Promotion Series This 4-week series is a hands-on approach to learning how to move your business forward. Take advantage of this opportunity to network with current and aspiring business owners, interact with organizations that can move your businesses forward and collaborate with experts to determine business marketing strategies. Session 1: Effective Self Promotion: Social Media Panel Discussion Engage with social media experts to share best practices, learn effective messaging, how to stay relevant and to hear about which social media outlets have been successful for other businesses. Prior to this session, we will reach out to each participant to gather information about your business/business idea, biggest social media hangups and to gather topics the participants(you) want to discuss in an engaging, group environment. Session 2: Developing Your Image: Marketing Your Business Develop your brand message and voice with strategic planning and marketing experts Kelley Green Web. Participate in a branding exercise and bring marketing ideas to the group that you can share and build upon for your specific business/business idea. Begin to develop a consistent branding identity for your business, tweak the one you already have and begin to think strategically and critically how to move your business forward through branding Session 3: Creating a Web Presence: Make Your Gigfinity Page Apply what has been developed and discovered in the previous sessions. Determine the need for a website, learn about web analytics and sit down in front of a computer to actually create your free Gigfinity page using the brand voice and marketing you have brainstormed. Gigfinity provides an unique platform that allows business owners to promote themselves and connect with their untapped customer base. As businesses join Gigfinity, consumers can easily find them, job postings, local event information and other opportunities – all in one place. Session 4: Harnessing the Power of Technology: Technology-Based Business Hear from some of the best business support services in Cleveland as they present to you how their organizations can move your businesses forward. Learn about how each organization differs from the next, what it is they do best and learn about the useful events, presentations and resources they offer all businesses. Afterwards, put your networking and self-promotion skills to use and network with the presenters and fellow classmates to develop upon synergies.
