Global Reach: Negotiating Business Across Cultures

How often have you been trading business emails with a buyer from another country only to have a head-scratching breakdown in communication? Are you planning on making a sales trip to another country where you have to win over people from a culture you’re not very familiar with? In order to succeed in today’s global world, one must be able to communicate and negotiate effectively with people from other cultures and backgrounds. What we will cover: • An overview of various cultural values across the globe, including time management, and decision-making cues and drivers • How to build effective, meaningful relationships with foreigners in the business environment • Tangible take-aways and tips for mastering communication & negotiation across those cultures What we hope to do: In this interactive session, attendees will learn how cultures differ with our most prominent trade partners and how to apply that to effective communication and negotiations across cultural boundaries. The process will pertain to all cultures though special emphasis will be placed on these: Asian (esp. China), Latin America (esp. Mexico) and Europe (esp. Germany).
